Senior Graphic Designer

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a talented, creative, and experienced Graphic Designer to join our team at Barge Design Solutions. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs and graphics that effectively communicate our brand and innovative solutions to clients, stakeholders, and the public. You will collaborate with marketing communications professionals, engineers, architects, engineers, and other professionals to produce high-quality visual materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing communications team, to develop compelling designs that effectively communicate value propositions and innovative, technical solutions.
  • Design and develop visually engaging graphics, illustrations, and layouts for various internal and external projects, including proposals, presentations, and digital media.
  • Prepare compelling visual presentations for client meetings, public consultations, and marketing campaigns to effectively communicate design solutions.
  • Maintain design standards, templates, and libraries to ensure consistent and cohesive visual communication across projects and platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing communication team to support brand development and ensure that visual materials align with the overall brand guidelines.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work within project constraints.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to integrate graphics and visual elements into technical documents, reports, and proposals.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior designers and interns, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design, AEC visualization, and presentation techniques.
  • Performs other duties as requested/ assigned.


Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field with 8+ years of experience.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Excellent visual design skills, including layout, typography, color theory, and composition. Ability to create aesthetically pleasing and impactful designs that align with project goals and brand guidelines.
  • Knowledge of digital media and web design principles, including responsive design and user experience (UX) concepts a plus.
  • Working understanding of architectural and engineering concepts, and terminology, to effectively communicate technical information visually, a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and present design concepts to stakeholders.
  • Work is frequently performed under rigid time constraints where a narrow margin for errors or delays is allowed.
  • Job may require travel.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as receive and incorporate feedback.
  • Passion for design, creativity, and staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and other programs and platforms
