RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, one of America's most respected Real Estate leaders is seeking 2 Senior Property Accountants.In this highly visible role, you will:
  • Review/analyze ledgers for assigned properties, process entries, calculate monthly accruals and update supporting balance sheet account schedules
  • Review and approve A/P voucher, payroll data entries, A/R adjustments, daily cash receipts journal, rent rolls, etc.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for assigned properties, the corporate department and applicable joint venture partner
  • Review and prepare workpaper reconciliations to balance sheet and income statement
  • Prepare monthly income statement variance and balance sheet analysis
  • Prepare year end expense reconciliations and tenant billings
  • Prepare accounting assessments of tenant leases for assigned properties
  • Monitor daily cash activity, bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
  • Coordinating debt service payments, including lender reserves, and supporting compliance reporting
  • Assist FP&A group in preparation of annual budget package
  • Assist Valuations group in preparing quarter-end fair values of assigned properties
  • Prepare draft US GAAP or IFRS statements and annual workpapers
  • Provide accounting detail and assistance to internal/external auditors
  • Provide financial metrics requested by leasing, operations, and capital markets departments
  • Provide accounting support for non-recurring transactions related to assigned property(s) (refinancings, dispositions, etc.)
  • Please note: this is not a remote role; You will work in beautiful, high end NYC office tower setting


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • 2+ years of public accounting and/or commercial real estate accounting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of US GAAP with real estate experience
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Well organized, self-starter and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Experience in Yardi and a proficiency in Excel preferred


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
