Job Summary:

As a Senior Sales Representative , you will consult, implement and sell service solutions for MSE (Medium Speed Engines) MaK engines for Marine, Oil & Gas (O&G) and Electric Power (EP) segments to maintain the existing population and to achieve the annual business plan through appropriate activities. You will work directly with assigned customers, as well as dealers and select service partners, to provide solutions that are adapted to ever-changing market conditions and enables existing Caterpillar MaK brand customers to successfully operate their business in the future.

What You Will Do:

  • Key account management of assigned customers in the Marine, Oil & Gas (O&G) and Electric Power (EP) segments in cooperation with the respective dealer or direct customers with United States and Canada focus.
  • Pursue and develop a growth strategy with a focus on after-sales solutions and customer satisfaction through targeted CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Significant responsibility for the establishment, development and strengthening of long-term customer relationship to drive positive customer experience.
  • Independently manage key accounts and the ongoing relationship with customers to ensure that all technical and commercial services are delivered as expected, to secure the next sale, and to ensure that CM (Caterpillar Motoren GmbH & Co KG) meets customer expectations.
  • Development and promotion of service solutions (e.g. parts, upgrades, emission upgrades, REParts (Repair & Exchange Parts), GVA (Global Value Agreement) or CVA (Customer Value Agreement), Connectivity etc.) that meet customers' goals.
  • Development of extensive product knowledge in order to be able to achieve a high level of product presentation and consultancy.
  • Collaborate with customers, dealers, and internal CM organizations to provide complex technical and commercial solutions to customers.
  • Business development with selected system partners in offering advanced service and system solutions beyond current engine spare parts portfolio to ensure solution system integration.
  • Possible special tasks as part of the implementation of the current MSE strategy and participation in strategic projects
  • Single contributor role for customers in US and Canada territory working in a global team with direct reporting line to Germany

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

  • This position can be located in either Houston, TX or Miramar, FL and offers a flexible work environment
  • Up to 40% travel
