ECS is seeking a Senior Scientific SME (NIH) to work remote supporting our Bethesda, MD office.

Job Description:
ECS is seeking an experienced Scientific SME with NIH research portfolio experience that can support a growing scientific portfolio analysis and evaluation program at the NHLBI. The selected individual will have a strong background in quantitative analysis methods that support data-driven decision making, and be familiar with NIH processes, programs, and data systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting fast-moving and wide-ranging data science and analysis-oriented projects and initiatives at NIH. The candidate should have a strong ability to work independently in conducting quantitative analyses.

Salary: $105,000 - $130,000

Required Skills:

  • Strong quantitative data analysis skills
  • Previous experience in applying analytical methodologies and approaches
  • Experience with NIH, FDA, HHS or federal healthcare organization & scientific leadership and staff
  • Demonstrated experience writing code to analyze large data sets (e.g. using R, Python, SAS, SQL, Oracle, Tableau etc.)
  • Proven ability to independently conduct large scale data analyses
  • 5+ years applicable work experience;
  • Work examples of a data analysis product and writing skills
  • B.S. in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field
Desired Skills:
  • Experience applying advanced analytical techniques/tools to portfolio analyses
  • Demonstrated ability to lead analytics programs
