This role will support investigative toxicology for project progression and drive our safety science forward to inform the design and selection of drug candidates with the "right safety" profile. An established record of safety science in an academic or industry setting with experience of the application of in vitro and/or in vivo models is essential. This position will report to the Senior Director of Oncology Safety Science. The group supports early safety assessment of T Cell Engagers, Immuno-Oncology Therapeutics, Cell Therapies. We are based in Cambridge UK, Gaithersburg MD, and Boston MA.

Accountabilities:
As a core member of multi-disciplinary drug discovery teams, you will direct investigative toxicology strategies to predict, assess and mitigate target- and modality-related safety risks in discovery programs, with a focus on T Cell Engagers. You will apply investigational and mechanistic safety studies through in vitro experimental capabilities to predict clinical safety and inform decision-making in drug discovery and development programs. You will contribute to early oncology project decision making, address specific concerns, and present findings to ensure that teams can make the right decisions regarding safety risks that facilitate timelines and regulatory submissions. You will maintain expertise in regulatory requirements and preclinical safety approaches applied to Immuno-Oncology therapeutics and awareness of industry trends.
