Overview

The Senior Windows Device Driver Developer will work with an experienced team of software, firmware, and hardware engineers to develop our Q-Sys platform. Q-Sys is a fast growing, award winning, software and hardware platform built on cutting-edge audio, video and control products. This position is based in Boulder, Colorado (we will consider remote employees for this role).

Base Pay Range 114,000 - 163,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans, generous time off and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain device drivers for Windows operating systems
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to develop USB drivers for multimedia audio, video, and control devices
  • Collaborate with other Senior Engineers and Product Managers on system architecture and requirements
  • Work with Software Quality Assurance to develop appropriate test strategies
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to junior developers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in device driver development and USB technology
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing device drivers for Windows operating systems
  • Strong understanding of USB protocols and experience with USB device driver development
  • Experience with C and C++ programming languages
  • The ideal candidate will also have experience in one or more of the follow areas:
    • Linux kernel driver development
    • TCP/IP
    • Streaming media protocols
    • Real-time embedded systems
    • Board bring-up and low level debugging
    • Graphics and video drivers
  • Experience working on software programs developed collaboratively by international teams
  • Passionate, persistent, creative - you find solutions to difficult problems and clever ways to work around them when necessary
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an agile scrum environment
  • Superb communication skills in English, both written and verbal
