Job Description

Aaron Oil (a Tradebe Company) has provided high-quality environmental services to the Alabama and Gulf Coast region since 1981. The Company operates an oil collection and recycling facility in Saraland, AL with additional marine service operations in Mobile, AL and Berwick, LA. The on-going strategy and commitment of Aaron Oil to reclamation and recycling is aligned with Tradebe's focus on sustainable waste management.

Main Purpose

The General Manager will plan, direct and control the activities of Aaron Oil operation by developing and implementing short and long-range plans, by developing and enforcing policies and procedures. The General Manager is responsible for achieving company goals, employee relations, monitoring business trends, and ensuring that company policies and standards are being met. Through their leadership the General Manager develops and coach their leadership team for both personal and professional growth.

Key job responsibilities

  • Ensure company health and safety policies and procedures are followed in all facilities
  • Responsible for managing P&L for Aaron Oil Company
  • Determine appropriate pricing on new opportunities and evaluate pricing and margin on existing business
  • Develop and implement both short and long-term plans that meet the corporate objectives
  • Ensure operations are compliant with environmental regulations and permits
  • Plan and implement investments and divestments of capital that causes the company to meet corporate objectives and growth of EBITDA balanced by compliance and safe operations
  • Ensure that area facilities and transportation assets are maintained and operational
  • Partner with engineering departments to maintain and improve facilities
  • Oversight of transportation including maintenance, compliance, and efficiency
  • Direct oversight of Used Oil Sales and work closely with Tradebe sales to drive profitable business
  • Promote employee development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or related field or five to ten years of equivalent experience in environmental, chemistry or hazardous waste environment.
  • Must participate in an OSHA/HAZWOPER physical examination.
  • Must obtain a physician's certification to wear respirator.
  • Must successfully complete Hazwoper training.
  • Must participate in DOT Hazardous Materials Awareness Training.
  • Five years industrial management experience
  • Three years of environmental and/or petroleum products industry experience
  • Ability to read, understand and apply common operational documents, SOP's, and training modules.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, internal and external customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
