Job Summary:

This SIU Strategic Technology Expert is responsible for applying their investigative knowledge and experience to our SIU investigations, to support the development and implementation of technical and analytical solutions that complement and address SIU business and analytical needs. This individual will implement operational, fraud and analytical models, and organize internal and external data to develop and communicate recommendations to SIU's management staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaison and subject matter expert on SIU metrics to business partners, AORs and other functional teams
  • Actively build strong relationships among teams/team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives
  • Determine and enroll resources from other AORs necessary to successfully complete projects
  • Provide ongoing training in various topics to SIU personnel and business partners in other AORs
  • Leads and directs efforts to use a variety of programming languages to build complex data collection user interfaces designed to capture inputs for analytics and/or models
  • Provides direction and communicates to leadership on large complex projects
  • Analyze actual financial results versus annual plans
  • Deliver presentations to recommend change, explain a process/obtain approval, etc
  • Lead, execute and drive adoption of innovative and strategic projects that create competitive advantage and drive operational effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 or more years of related experience

  • Applies general knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation
  • Applies general knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, and claim systems
  • Applies general industry knowledge to discipline practices
  • Applies general knowledge of analytical procedures
  • Applies general knowledge of standardized problem solving and preparation of basic reports for analysis
  • Applies general ability to leverage learned technical skills in support of team objectives
  • Applies general negotiation and/or arbitration skills
