Job Summary

Evaluates credit and other relevant data to determine the credit risk of potential small business customers. Makes recommendations, issues approvals and declines credit requests in accordance with Stellantis Financial Services (SFS),credit risk policies, compliance guidelines and profitability models.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Reviews and evaluates all commercial credit reports in commonly used formats as well as any format unique to SFS.
  • Accurately applies credit policies across multiple product lines for various loan types to approve, decline or condition a commercial deal.
  • Works with Senior Small Business Credit Analysts and Small Business Loan officers and seeks assistance in order to understand the program and make sound credit decisions.
  • Utilizes phone and web based tools to complete verifications as deemed necessary.
  • Manages exceptions to published credit authority using judgment and experience to produce risk outcomes within company expectations.
  • Completes final disposition on credit applications or forwards to appropriate level of authority for final approval.
  • Communicates loan application outcomes to dealer via phone, email or other appropriate means and follows-up with calls to solicit business.
  • Ensures responses to dealers are issued within established service level parameters.
  • Makes outbound and handles inbound calls to negotiate final terms of contracts with both our dealer customer and internal business partners.
  • Participates in targeted outbound call campaigns, as time permits, in coordination with business partners in an effort to cultivate long-term dealer relationships.
  • Works directly with the Funding department to resolve credit and verification issues that arise in funding.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Communicate with Senior Small Business Credit Analysts and Loan Officers to identify opportunities for potential line of credit clients.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field or 2 years of professional experience in a commercial, financial or automotive finance setting.

Mathematical Skills Algebraic calculations are periodically required to calculate items relevant to a commercial contract or line of credit.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have beginning to intermediate MS Office skill in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills Knowledge of industry specific web based tools such as DnB, Experian, LexisNexis, etc.

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
