RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Software Development Manager in Gilbert, Arizona (AZ).Summary:The client is a growing nationwide company is seeking a Software Development Manager. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this search assignment. This company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, etc. A Software Development Manager will conduct hands development, mentor teams, and manage day to day team development activities to facilitate successful delivery of organizational goals in software delivery. The role will facilitate the development and delivery of software projects using the right technology to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This position will assist in the building of new platforms on cloud technologies that diversify our portfolio as well as enhancing the technical platforms that drive of our core business. This position is partial remote.Responsibilities include:- Manage development teams consisting of developers and QA
- Work in agile environment to ensure that all functionality is properly designed, developed, tested, and delivered per prescribed requirements
- Actively participate in hands on development, code reviews to ensure coding standards are enforced, and adequate code coverage is maintained
- Lead the team to develop and document test plans, automated test cases, regression tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests
- Hands on experience with Release Management, CI/CD setup
- Utilize Azure templates and Coded Infrastructure to create and update environments on demand
- Work with product teams, scrum teams, and internal groups to ensure customer requirements are being developed and adequately tested
- Participate in agile estimations, planning, daily ceremonies, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in team and personal performance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 10-12+ years of experience with developing and enhancing applications written .NET and/or Java Technologies
- 5+ years of experience with unit testing (TDD experience preferred or similar)
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)
- Understand the effect of iterative development and release management processes dictated by an Agile Scrum environment
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading teams
- Experience developing in an Agile SCRUM environment
- Experience with automated UI and web service testing
- Experience with Bitbucket, Git Version Control System
- Ability to comprehend overall product vision and participate in feature definition process
- Solid work ethic, self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Clear and effective communications skills both written and verbal
- Experience using TFS/Jira is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
