Overview
Test products, publishing software, and software services. Perform hardware setup as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Participate in document reviews throughout the software lifecycle.
- Write test plans/procedures.
- Assist Technical Support Specialists as necessary.
- Participate in and/or monitor code walk-through for all modifications to existing code for publishing software.
- Coordinate testing activities with others.
- Identify resource requirements for testing.
- Configure hardware and software for testing systems.
- Provide verbal phone support to customers.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in field of Computer Science or related software quality technology experience.
Certifications in software quality assurance a plus.
Five plus years of experience.
• Ability to handle multi-task, complex environment.
• Possess quality of "trying to break the system" - from a positive, inquisitive standpoint.
• Understand that the goal is to find errors.
• Ability to "think out of the box."
• Ability to remain focused.
• Knowledge and experience in "C" programming language.
• Knowledge and experience in JAVA & SQL programming language.
• Knowledge and experienced in shell scripting programming.
• Understanding of CMF, RCS, and Oracle.
• Knowledge of the Publishing Services product line.
• Knowledge of the Business Management a plus.
• Proficient at MS Office, MS Word, Excel and Databases.
