Position Overview

The Softlines Select team at NPD works with some of the most exciting companies in the Fashion and Beauty industries. This team is currently seeking an Account Specialist in the day-to-day servicing of their account base. This will be done through an efficient selling, servicing, and delivery model that provides support for our clients while identifying potential areas to grow their business and ours.

Location - the business is open to a virtual hire for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Service Select Clients in their day-to-day needs and contract deliverables. This includes answering data questions, providing value-adds such as NPD press releases on relevant topics, completing contracted client report deliverables, providing timely client communications, etc.
  • Build client relationships with the intention of client/account retention
  • Identify potential growth opportunities within their account base
  • Manage all client contract deliverables to ensure that they are delivered on an on-time and accurate basis, including use of service hours
  • Work with internal team to create efficiencies across the Select Account base
  • Seamless transition of accounts from New Business Development or Client Development to Select Team
  • Handle any new or ongoing ad hoc requests for clients
  • Build knowledge of NPD products including POS, Consumer and Checkout data
  • Partner with the Data Activation Team to support prospect/client deliverables as needed

Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in account management, market research, and/or solution selling
  • Track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Agile mindset, comfortable operating in an evolving environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with POS/Consumer panel data to generate impactful and engaging analyses and presentations.
  • Apparel or Fashion industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Expert in all MS Office products, Excel, PowerPoint, & Word
  • Experienced proficiency in data access tools
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and/or Salesloft are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree

The ideal candidate must be able to engage in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience of clients. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand the customers' needs and determine which NPD products and services are the best solution.
