Overview

Credentialing Specialist - Piedmont Community Health Plan

Job Description: Verification, processing, and monitoring of credentialing and re-credentialing of Piedmont providers based on regulatory and accreditation standards and Piedmont policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Education/Licensure: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Function independently with minimal direct supervision. Work collaboratively with others. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with outstanding attention to detail. Organize credentialing processes and understand and apply credentialing criteria consistently across the provider network. Effectively utilize computer and appropriate software and interact as needed with IT vendors and internal staff. Maintain confidentiality of peer review information. Proficiency with Word, Excel, & Access. Proficiency with Medical Terminology. Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, including CMS and NCQA or URAC.
