About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Event Marketing team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices! In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO. This role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 2 days per week minimum, with 3 days per week working from home.

In order to support the growth of the company, it is essential to educate our professional partners, patients, payers and providers on the products and services we provide. The Event Marketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the logistical aspects of Professional Education courses, as well as, smaller in-house customer and internal events, planning and logistics. This role works closely with the Professional Education team to identify the annual courses offered, and all the associated needs related to the course, such as course materials, registration pages, communications, certifications, reports, etc. The Event Marketing Specialist is an expert on all requirements of the Accredited Bodies and Associations who provide Cochlear with the accreditations needed for our professionals. This role is responsible for managing the pre/on-site/post event logistics for all assigned events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cvent system administrative task such as; reporting, event request forms, event registrations, event emails, event landing pages, event orders, system integrations, apps, etc.
  • Understand, create and execute the requirements outlined on an event order.
  • Meets with and partners closely with Professional Education to understand full overview of course offerings to include but not limited to: course descriptions, learner outcomes, course learning hours, facilitators, audience, course evaluations and continue education credit(s).
  • Maintain strong relationships with accredited continue education bodies AAA and ASHA. Submit all new courses to ensure continue education credits are approved for Cochlear courses.
  • Works in the Event Management software Cvent daily to; receive and process all course requests submitted from internal business partners, create course registration pages, course invitations and all email communications, course evaluations, pre/post course reporting.
  • Maintain the event management software Cvent; continually evaluate the efficiency of the platform, make updates as needed, and provide training of the platform to new hires as needed.
  • Communicate with business partners in a timely and professional manner to keep them updated on course status, attendance, and logistics.
  • Contract and coordinate all on-site logistics for assigned events, to include but not limited to: hotel accommodations, meeting rooms, food and beverage, transportation, equipment, printing, shipping. Maintain all deliverables, meeting all deadlines.
  • Expert knowledge of all meeting space material, equipment, and functionality. Knowledgeable of overall building procedures as related to on-site event needs.
  • Provide basic audio-visual support/troubleshooting.
  • Document all legal report requirements post-event; i.e. Sunshine Reporting.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annually event reports.
Key Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in events, hospitality, or administrative roles.

  • Must be able to lift or move single items up to 40lbs
  • Preferably proficient in the utilization of Cvent Event Management System
  • Must be willing to learn to use new technology and systems.

  • Pay Range in the United States: $75,000 - $80,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Influence, organization/classification of information and planning are also required.

The work environment is a hybrid remote/office environment and represents those an individual may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
