Leveraging PayPal's reputation as the payments technology leader, the Sr. Business Development Representative is responsible for driving PayPal's market share by making outbound calls, emails and in-mails to high-value merchants to create a strong pipeline for our enterprise sales executives.

This role can be offered on a Remote basis or office based in our Scottsdale, AZ office.

Job Description:

What you need to know about the role:

The BDR will execute coordinated campaigns that consist of calling and strategic digital communications such as email and social/professional platform connections. Ultimately, this high-level performer will create genuine connections with some of the largest companies and most impressive brands in the world.

Your way to impact:

  • Contacting prospective merchants via phone, email, in-person events and social platforms to generate and uncover new opportunities
  • Performing initial needs assessment of prospects while identifying existing pain points to determine how PayPal's platform could address those needs
  • Researching and staying up to date on current market trends, opportunities and competition
  • Understanding and articulating key business drivers and overcoming merchant objections by effective communication of the PayPal value propositions
  • Maintaining consistent high call quality as pre-determined by leadership and sales coaches
  • Conducting research to expand contact lists within targeted accounts using tools like ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator and other methods

Your Day to Day:

  • Securing new outbound merchant opportunities via outbound calls through the alignment of their business needs to PayPal's payment solutions
  • Quickly and accurately setting calendar appointments for Enterprise Sales & Account Executives
  • Qualifying merchant requirements and segmenting based on criteria provided by the business
  • Serving as a trusted advisor and consultant to all clients throughout the entire discovery and sales cycle
  • Effective communication of a high level of technical, e-commerce, and business acumen within and between teams
  • Maintaining accurate and updated records for all activities in Salesforce.com
  • You will work with merchants in the North America market ( United States and Canada)

What you need to bring:
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong, executive-level, interpersonal/business communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully multi-task
  • A self-driven and dedicated attitude, disciplined work ethic, and motivation to drive revenue growth, while creating the basis for long-term client relationships
  • Desire to learn enterprise sales methodologies and strategies
  • 1-2 years of sales, marketing or business development experience. SaaS sales experience is a plus
  • Dynamic hunter personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving both individual and team goals in a professional setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively, both on a team and individually, in a high energy, ever-changing, dynamic sales environment
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Salesforce.com and Outreach.io is a plus
