About the Role

Uber Freight's Sr Carrier Analysts work strategically with customers and carriers to gain an understanding of their specific compliance challenges and jointly explore opportunities for improvement and success. This position will identify defects, and develop and build new processes and techniques to ensure continued best practices. In addition, it will work closely with leadership and operations teams to develop opportunities for continuous improvement. Understanding Real-Time Visibility and how the data flows will be critical to this process.

This position will have a Work from Home/Remote or Hybrid option.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Become a subject matter expert in the operational processes and controls supporting check calls
  • Guide management in the development/review of applicable policies, procedures, and business practices based on a detailed understanding of processes
  • Provide expertise on compliance requirements when on-boarding a new carrier or account to Uber Freight check call program
  • Lead or assist in problem resolution between accounts and carrier
  • Work closely with operations teams to develop opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ability to turn complex compliance requirements into scalable compliance processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with demonstrated experience succeeding in a fast-paced team environment
  • High-level leadership and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record implementing quality programs with a spirit of continuous improvement
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing leaders across functions including both business and technical teams
  • Ability to take ownership and successfully deliver results in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Leading projects from start to finish, making sure all tasks are delivered on time by all parties.
  • Run training sessions on check call requirements for carriers
  • Follow up and resolve support tickets raised by both external and internal users of the application
  • Commit to the continual improvement and evolution of the product and services to serve our customers in the most efficient way possible
Basic Qualifications
  • At least a High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience
  • Minimum 3 years Real-Time Visibility experience (EDI/API/FourKites/MacroPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or other related field
  • 1-2 years of experience analyzing and managing transportation, either at a shipper, carrier or 3PL. Knowledge of industry, major carriers, cost drivers, best practices
  • Ability to extract data from BI, Tableau, or other sources, validate and conduct advanced analytics
  • TMS systems and knowledge of freight KPI’s
  • Experience working with BI reporting tools
  • Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office
