Job Summary
The Sr. DSO Reporting Requirements Analyst will support fulfilment of reporting requests through:
• connectivity to all Default Servicing Operations (DSO) Business Units (Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and REO) to understand data needs and completion of mapping exercises,
• connectivity to Service Transfer Team, DSO Service Transfer Project Manager, MSR Client, and prior servicers for all data related to inbound transfers of defaulted loans,
• coordination and completion of all audit, regulatory, client, investor/insurer, and ratings agency data requests relating to DSO,
• connectivity to Business Intelligence Group (BIG) and DSO developer(s) for the completion of testing and review of all data related requests for DSO, and
• on-going loan-level updates in bulk for daily maintenance and regular data cleanup.

This primary goal of this role is to streamline, automate, and complete bulk tasks for other business units within DSO and provide support for mapping ad hoc and recurring reporting requests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with DSO developer(s) and DSO Project Managers to gather requirements and incorporate enhancements and new reporting builds for DSO STARS reporting suite.
  • Work with BIG and/or DSO developer(s) on ad-hoc reporting needs for all functional areas within DSO. Includes requirement gathering, mapping and testing of output before distribution to business unit.
  • Partner with BIG to build and complete audit requests for periodic examinations, Regulatory Affairs, Investors/Insurers, Ratings Agencies, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Service Transfer Project Manager and Service Transfer Team to complete mapping exercises, incoming transfer data reviews, and manage day 1 and day 2 loan boarding process for DSO.
  • Demonstrate DSO Monitoring Team processes with newer team members and provides a mentorship role. Assists in fielding day-to-day questions from newer team members and/or other internal partners.
  • Produce monthly KPI and/or KRI summaries for key metrics monitored at the executive level.
  • Actively collaborating with other default servicing teams to assist in the continued development of a best in class default servicing operation.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.

Job Requirements:
  • Reliable Home High Speed Internet required
  • HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics OR 12 Years of Comparable Work Experience required
  • Significant experience in leveraging and manipulating servicing systems (BKFS LoanSphere, MSP, and other Black Knight systems) required
  • 10+ years of specialized experience with servicing systems, including MSP/BKFS LoanSphere all within Mortgage Servicing
  • 4+ years of experience in Default Mortgage Servicing and/or Collections
  • Working understanding of Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, REO and Collections servicing practices
  • Proficient in risk, compliance and regulatory & investor requirements
  • Proven ability to perform critical operational analysis.
  • Strong problem solving & strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Exceptional written and oral communication including facilitation & summarization skills to drive action and results
  • Must be highly organized and have a strong attention to detail including the ability to create and maintain documentation
  • Ability to work with, lead and consult with all levels in the organization up to and including executives
  • Have an innate ability to understand very complex processes and systems, immediately and intuitively understanding how they work and how they can be improved
  • Adjusts positively to quickly-changing priorities and shifting goals
  • Strong ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast pace environment
  • Strong Excel and other database management skills
  • Some travel required - Up to 15% on an as needed basis
