Sr. Industrial EngineerPosition Summary

Primary Purpose

The Senior Industrial Designer will deepen Ferrara's Sugar and Cookie innovation portfolio by curating and leading ideation sessions and developing creative concepts with the design thinking process. This role will spend the majority of their time in the ideation, concept, design, and development of innovative products and packaging.

Major Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop new product and packaging
• Convert broader consumer insights and brand needs into innovative design solutions
• Curate engaging ideation sessions to flourish creativity and lead all day ideation sessions
• Propose creative and innovative ideas
• Visualize concepts through a variety of medium, including sketches, prototypes, CAD models, and renderings
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional team members
• Provide input to cross-functional teams on technical feasibility
• Work closely with engineering and operations to develop product specifications and validation
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
• Understand and demonstrate the Company's core values
• Perform other duties as needed
  

Competencies/Skills/Knowledge Required

• Fully operational ability to ideate, generate concepts, and creatively solve problems
• Strong capability in visual communication skills in sketching, form development, 3D modeling, rendering, and presentation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, action-driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Must be organized, able to multitask, and meet commitments
• Enjoys working in a result-oriented and fast-paced team environment
• Proficient in parametric CAD software such as Solidworks
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Willing to travel up to 10% (visiting factories for trials or off-site location as needed)
  

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design
• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Experienced in leading ideation
• Must present a portfolio of work to demonstrate proven ability in product and packaging design, creative problem solving, and showcase ideation planning and facilitation capability
