Strategic Client Executive (MMA Mid-Atlantic)

As a Strategic Client Executive (Employee Health & Benefits) at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you'll be primarily responsible for execution of the service plan for our clients. This includes strategic planning, oversight of day-to-day needs, bringing actionable solutions, coordinating with internal subject matter experts, working with Carrier partners, coordinating & developing best-in-class analysis & client deliverables, etc. Every day is a little different. Today you may be on the phone providing advanced client service including claims resolution, billing and eligibility issues. Tomorrow, you are in a meeting with an opportunity to understand their needs and design a strategy. You're both a service leader and trusted advisor to our clients. We will count on you to:

  • In concurrence with Consultant(s), fosters positive working Client relationships at all levels - HR, Finance, Decision-makers and C-Suite. Inform Consultant(s) and team of any significant changes relating to the Client
  • Review and stay knowledgeable of how the Client is aligned with current benchmarking data/trends including but not limited to the annual Mercer Survey; keeps Consultant(s), team and Client informed accordingly
  • Provide guidance/direction to support and specialty team as needed on client spreadsheets/proposals/analysis for all lines of coverage
  • Work with teams to market lines of coverage (as appropriate) including census, benefits and rate data, and claims experience if applicable.
  • Initiate Marketing process including instructing and overseeing Support in gathering all RFP documents from client or carrier. Ensure the accuracy of the Marketing request. Give direction on alternates to be quoted. Ensure proposals are correct and match marketing request. Present proposals to Strategic or Consultant and participates in formulating strategy for carrier negotiation and client strategy
  • Request, review and approve SPD's, policies, contracts agreements and plan documents.

What you need to have:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in Employee Benefits, Human Resources or combination
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Health Care Reform and expert knowledge of compliance
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable insurance products/lines inclusive of fully insured and self-funded markets
