Job Summary

The Surgical Coder is responsible for performing the primary coding for surgery and procedures following correct ICD-10/ CPT and/or HCPCS coding guidance. This includes complex procedural and surgical coding for multiple surgical specialties. Provides technical guidance to surgical providers and departmental staff to maintain code assignment accuracy and compliance based on approved coding guidelines. This coder works collaboratively with surgeons to ensure the accuracy of the code sets on the surgical case.

Full Time Remote Position, Hours are 8am-4:30pm or 9anm-5:30pm

Must have experience for this role, candidates should have at least 3yrs of provider based surgical & office Cardiology experience. Also prefer other pro-fee surgical specialties such as: Gen Surgery,Vascular, IR, etc.
