Systems Administrator (FL)

Excentium, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran owned small business that provides Cyber Security Engineering, Information Assurance (IA), management, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and other IT services to government and commercial organizations.

We have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator supporting one of our Federal customers in Jacksonville, FL.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Secret

CITIZENSHIP: US Citizenship
LOCATION: Jacksonville, FL.

Overview
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. They install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization. System administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems. The mission is to install, upgrade and monitor software and hardware. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, configure computer software, and maintain its integrity.
• Provide documentation for System Administration.
• Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Work directly with site technical staff and end users to troubleshoot end user issues regarding migration
• Update site documentation, decommission assets, and AD clean up as required
• Setting up new users and giving them access to the intranet
• Managing and maintaining the file and print servers
• Operating the firewall for the organization
• Monitoring the internet connection for security risks
• Employing the latest security protocols
• Monitoring the local area network (LAN) for threats or errors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology or other computing-related degrees
• 5 years of IT systems infrastructure experience in similar capacity
• SQL Server Experience
• Required certifications:
  • Security+.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or relevant certification
