Valid has an outstanding opportunity for a Team Lead, Hot Stamp and Vision at our Bolingbrookmanufacturing facility. This is a 2nd shift position and the hours are 2:00 pm-10:30 pm with frequent overtime. The Team Lead will provide training to new employees, set up and trouble shooting assistance for operators for plastic card manufacturing jobs in our manufacturing plant. The Team Lead will coordiante the machine assignments with the supervisors to optimize throughput and quality. The Team Lead will also serve as a resource for questions and issues to hot stamp and inspection operators on 2nd shift.

What will you do?

  • Build a strong and effective team by example and fostering a strong sense of belonging within the team.
  • Train new employees using training tools and methods provided by the company
  • Ensure scheduled work is completed in a timely manner with excellent quality.
  • Act as Lead hot stamp and Inspcetion operator on 2nd shift, serving as a resource for questions from other team members.
  • Compile and verify the amount of spoiled, rejected or set up material for each batch before passing the batch to the next operation.
  • Maintain daily shift reports and PMS documentation for completed cards.
  • Provide verification and coaching to employees within the department to ensure accurate records are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed in regards to the processes of Hot stamping and Inspection.
  • Perform related job duties as needed and required.
What are we looking for?
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Requires normal color perception.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to keep detailed and accurate records.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and able to work around machinery.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals. Ability to perform data entry operations with accuracy.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Willingness to comply with our background check and drug test process.
