Our client, a non-profit organization in Rockville, MD, is seeking a temporary Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to support their team!

About You:

• 1+ years of related professional experience; previous experience working with volunteers/volunteer management is required.
• Proficient in MS Office Products and Video Conferencing Software.
• Excellent oral/written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work evenings/weekends for special projects/events when needed.

The Job:

• Handle volunteer project planning and overall program implementation/communications.
• Handle volunteer recruitment and placement; recruit, screen, interview, and train volunteers.
• Conduct volunteer orientations and training sessions; develop volunteer training tools/curriculums.
• Identify needs and handle tracking/reporting.
• Ensure that volunteer policies/procedures are followed.
• Assist with additional special projects/events and provide support as needed.
