Description:

The Warranty Data Analyst gathers, evaluates, and analyzes a wide variety of data for the warranty business's reporting and decision-making process. The role's principal business function is to provide timely, accurate, and targeted business intelligence. This position will be at the forefront of building and maintaining complex data sets to enable and grow GameStop's warranty business. This position will work closely with senior management to develop, analyze, and identify key insights to enable issue resolution, new business development, and maximizing financial goals. This position will work cross functionally with other groups to collaborate and coalesce key data and analysis to create closed loop, efficient data sharing and decision-making processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Collect, organize, interpret, and report large amounts of sales, product, and quality data. In some cases, assisting with capture and creation of new databases to support growth in the business.
  • Create and analyze data and make action-oriented recommendations and share insights with key leaders.
  • Work within a highly capable team to deliver business results and hit quarterly and long-range performance goals.
  • Analyze trends related to inventory levels, pricing, store, district and regional performance.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory and product replenishment.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other major business units throughout the GameStop organization

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • 5-7 years of related work experience required
  • Bachelor's or master's degree with an accredited program in data science, analytics, finance, accounting, or other analytically focused degree.
