Position Title: Web Designer (Temporary, Part-Time)

Position Summary:
The Website Designer designs and develops accessible, visually compelling, complex, and often interactive online courses and content to facilitate student learning within the College's learning management system (LMS), as well as in resources and websites outside of the LMS. Website Designers use expertise in web coding languages, web content creation software, interactive e-learning authoring software, visual communications, universal design principles, accessibility,, etc., to create and improve web environments that facilitate a robust online student learning experience. Website Designers work in a team setting that includes Instructional Designers, Website Designers, Media Producers, Administration, and Faculty.
The Part-time Temporary Website Designer helps PimaOnline's Website Design team design and develop visually compelling and often interactive online courses, and other web content to facilitate student learning within the College's learning management system (D2L Brightspace). The Website Designer will use HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator skills to assist in the editing, updating, and creation of web-based learning content.
About the Center for Learning Technology:
For nearly 20 years, the Center for Learning Technology team of instructional designers, website designers, and media producers has led the development of innovative online courses and projects across Pima's six campuses. Under the umbrella of PimaOnline (the educational division for online courses and program development), the CLT staff participates in broader improvement initiatives including the Quality Review of online courses. As part of the CLT, the position of Website Designer will effectively create and improve web environments that facilitate a robust, engaging, and interactive student learning experience for PimaOnline programs, courses, and training. This position will successfully partner with other CLT staff and faculty and Subject Matter Experts in the design, development, and implementation of curriculum, materials, instructional methods, training support, and teaching and assessment techniques/methodologies for online (and blended-learning) learning environments.
The work schedule for this position is flexible and will include working evenings and weekends and local travel.
