The Director, HR Business Partner will lead the HR strategy for the Duncan, South Carolina Wabtec Passenger Transit Site. This role will be critical in partnering strategically with Senior Leadership, and their extended teams, to support the Transit transformation, proactively identify and execute on both functional and business priorities and driving culture change.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource (HR) functions, including talent management, succession planning, employee/labor relations, leading organizational change and facilitating team performance
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence in areas of organizational talent & strategy, compensation & benefits, learning strategies, and employment counsel
  • Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, as well as restructuring, and reduction of the workforce as needed
  • Develop and lead strategy to ensure robust pipeline and succession plans are in place
  • Facilitate culture and communications throughout the organization; work with leaders to ensure successful implementation of change efforts
  • Be responsible for compensation plans and rewards and recognition programs that are equitable and in line with the organization's goals
  • Provide advice, counsel, and support for benefits, training, EEO, compliance programs, and HR systems
  • Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
  • Be a champion for change and an advocate for diversity across their respective organizations

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions, both staff and client based.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource leadership role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations
  • Previous HR team management experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations or Business Administration
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence & engage at all levels of the business; including senior leadership
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong coaching skills
