Job Summary

This position will facilitate the University's recruitment plan in recruiting and admitting students within a specified territory. This position will build relationships with school counselors, teachers, and principals to create recruiting efforts. The position will coordinate AU events, participate in recruitment fairs, and assist in the planning and implement of the university level recruitment plan. The position will also have a focus on special populations such as high achieving students. The position will participate in events, recruitment, and other activities in the Augusta area or on the AU campuses. The position may be required to participate in recruitment programs out of state. The position is responsible for responding to student, family or others inquiries as well as make admissions decisions coordinated through the main office. The position will coordinate the recruitment effort for special programs created to boost enrollment efforts.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

RECRUITMENT GOALS: Manages a specific recruitment territory and is responsible for meeting territory recruitment goals. Analyzes various applicant reports to look for trends to guide recruitment decisions and efforts. Uses data and trends to plan and lead recruitment in a specific geographic territory.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Supervises, assigns tasks, and provides support and guidance for Admissions Recruiters in assigned territory, including analyzing applicant reports to guide them in recruitment efforts, and teaching and utilizing data and trends to assist in creating a recruitment plan for specific geographic territories.

TACTICS AND PROGRAMMING: Creates and implements all recruitment tactics and programming for all recruitment events in assigned territories and direct reports assigned territories.

COLLEGE FAIRS AND EVENTS: Travels to college fairs and other events in assigned territory to meet prospective students and their parents. Answers questions from students and families. Schedules, coordinates, and conducts high school visits and speaking engagements in a defined geographic territory. Composes appropriate correspondence for follow-up with prospective students.

RECRUITMENT STRATEGIES: Manage and implement special events and recruitment strategies for special populations, including but not limited to interest meetings, accepted student receptions, recruitment workshops, bus tours, and counselor relations.

RELATIONSHIPS: Coordinate counselor and constituent relationships in a defined geographic territory.

STUDENT COMMUNICATION: Assist with all communications to prospective students including electronic communications sent through the customer relationship management system.

JOB RELATED-TASKS: Perform all other duties as assigned including travel to the main campus for in-house training and on-campus events.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two-three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Management skills related to supervision, planning, and familiarity with secondary and postsecondary school systems are also preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Must be willing to travel and work a flexible work schedule at certain times of the year depending on the admissions cycle.

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Detail-oriented

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Monday - Friday (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Grade: 15

Salary Minimum: $38,913 - Midpoint: $52,533

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.

For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
